About Us

Our History. Our training program was developed by Dr. Nichole Reisdorph. We have been providing training in hands-on proteomics workflows for over three years. During that time we have trained over 100 people, including MDs, PhDs, post-doctoral researchers, graduate students, clinicians, managers, application engineers, and sales representatives. testimonials

Our Facilities. We are a working research laboratory at the National Jewish Health that also specializes in customizable educational services. Our primary field of expertise is the application of systems biology technologies, including mass spectrometry-based proteomics and metabolomics, as well as microarray-based genomics to clinical and basic research. In addition to educational products, we offer routine sample analysis for customers in the academic and industrial sectors. Our training facility includes the following amenities: lecture rooms, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), fully equipped computer classroom, four mass spectrometers including: HPLC-Chip ion trap, Electrospray time-of-flight (ESI-TOF), Quadrupole TOF (QTOF) and triple quadrupole (QQQ), and an Agilent DNA microarray platform.

Our Philosophy. Because of the complexity of the technology and the rate at which omics-related research fields are expanding, a comprehensive, hands-on approach to mass spectrometry-based proteomics and metabolomics is critical. In addition, although microarray technology for genomics studies has been available for some time, technological advances have led to the development of new platforms and, as a result, higher density arrays, and greater flexibility in array design. Finally, it has never been more clear that to better understand human diseases, we must first understand how networks between each class of biomolecule affect normal biological processes and pathogenesis. We believe that providing practical training and education products in omics technologies and systems biology is critical to bringing powerful technologies to the common laboratory. For these reasons we are dedicated to bringing quality hands-on and didactic training in omics technologies to professionals in all fields of biomedical research.
